Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than twenty years. She currently holds the position as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is a California native, Buss grew up in an affluent family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who went on to own the Lakers along with various other sports organizations. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened after her parents split in 1972. In 1972, at age 19 she started working within the family's company. She then founded in the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers, she served as president of the Great Western Forum. Buss and her five sisters inherited his Lakers control following the death of Bussher father in 2013. Each of the sisters had the same voice. She assumed her duties as the president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that encourages professional wrestling.
